SERMON DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
1. Read Esther 4:14. We all have a greater purpose than we often realize. What was Esther’s ultimate purpose? Do you know what your greater purpose is for your time on this earth? What are some things that you can do to help fulfill that purpose? Discuss.
2. Read Jeremiah 29:11. Sometimes the plans that God has for our lives only appear to be a disaster or chaos, but they lead to a future and hope for others. Discuss a time in your life where God used something difficult to fulfill a greater purpose?
3. Read Mark 10:43-45. Those with the greatest purpose are those who serve others and give their lives. Jesus, of course, was the greatest example of this. How can you personally better fulfill a greater purpose than your own and become a greater person? Discuss with the group.
4. Read Zechariah 4:6. God mandates us to trust Him and not man and we often get off course when we put our faith in man’s strength and abilities instead of God’s. Write down some things that God is calling you to do, big and small. Take a few minutes to ponder them. As a group, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you how to accomplish these things and keep each other accountable in them.
5. Read Isaiah 30:21, Galatians 5:25, & Matthew 25:21. God always has a plan for our lives and will make it clear to us His leading if we simply ask Him; however, it takes faith. How can you activate your faith on a promise that God has given you in a practical way? What can you do to help to stir faith into action? Discuss.
