SERMON DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

1.Read 1 Timothy 6:17-19. If our real home is Heaven and not earth, then how do we invest in the Kingdom? How do we direct our lives toward eternity, aside from receiving salvation? Discuss.

2.Read Philippians 3:18-20. Our life on earth is a dot and it is finite, but we are headed toward a line (eternity) which is infinite. This is why we need to concentrate our efforts toward Heaven. What are some areas that you struggle devoting your heart to that are finite? How can you change this?

3.Read Hebrews 11:14-16 & Ephesians 5:15-16. We are all on a limited timeline on earth. We need to make the best of every opportunity, but what exactly does this mean according to these passages? How will you do that practically every day? Discuss as a group.

4.Read Matthew 6:19-21 & Luke 12:16-21. What do you spend the most of your income on? This indicates where your heart is. Discuss this with the group. Is there anything wrong with that? Why or why not? How can we yield an abundant harvest as discussed in Luke? What is God asking us to do?

5.Read 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Psalm 24:1, & Hebrews 11:25-26. God owns everything that we have. Our responsibility is only to steward what he has allowed us to hold. How do we do that? How can we act like stewards and not owners of what we are responsible for? Discuss.
