SERMON DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

1.Read Nehemiah 12:43 & Exodus 34:14. God wants all of our worship to Himself. He doesn’t want to share any of it. What are some things that you personally have a hard time giving up and not giving Him full attention for? What are things that have your attention above God?

2.Read Romans 12:1-2 & Nehemiah 12:27, 30. This passage tells us that true worship is becoming a living sacrifice to God – giving Him our ALL. Have you given Him your all as a sacrifice of worship to Him? What things are holding you back? Why is this so difficult for us? Discuss as a group.

3.Read Nehemiah 12:31, 38, 40, 43 & Romans 15:3. We can live a life of worship by celebrating with joy all that God has done. Discuss some times where God has used joy in your own life to minister to the needs of others. What was the outcome? What are some things that hinder you from sharing the things God has done for you in joy? How can you overcome that? Discuss.

4.Read Matthew 5:16. We were meant to be seen as God’s people. What are some reasons that we stay hidden? How can we work on this and be more intentional about letting our light be seen?
