Prayer Is Reality
SERMON DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
1.Read Jeremiah 33:3, Matthew 7:7, & Psalm 50:15. God longs for us to cry out to Him, not only for our needs and wants, but just to be with Him. What are some reasons that we use Him as a last resort? What is hindering you from crying out to Him? How can you make this a priority in your life?
2.Read Romans 8:26, Acts 2:42-47, & Acts 12:1-5. Prayer is fuel for things to begin to happen in our lives and the lives of others. When we don’t know what to ask God for or how to pray, God does. How can this become an effective tool in your life? How can we “continually” pray as the scripture tells us to? What are some things that will help us do this regularly? Discuss a time where prayer caused a huge change in your life.
3.Read Luke 18:1 & Acts 12:6-11. When we cry out to God in prayer, big things can happen. In this passage, Peter was freed from prison by an angel, but name some other situations in the Bible where God answered some big prayers.
4.Read 2 Chronicles 14:7. God wants to answer our prayers. He wants to hear from us. What are some things that you are going to implement in your life now for the next month that will remind you to cry out to God on a daily and continual basis. Discuss with the group.
