SERMON DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

1.Read James 1:16-18 & Psalms 145:9. Everything that God does for us is motivated for our best and He has good intentions. How does this play when hard things happen in our lives? God is good to everyone according to this passage. If He is good to all of us, why do bad things happen? Discuss this as a group.

2.Read Psalm 46:1. God is always there for us even when we are going through difficult times. Discuss a time within the past year that you went through something difficult and even if you didn’t feel God during the time, you saw how He was with you later.

3.Read James 1:18, Colossians 1:5, & John 3:16. God could have abandoned us in all of our sin but instead gave us the ultimate gift so He could resume relationship with us. What part of that gift are you personally thankful for? Explain in brief what He has saved you from.

4.Read Romans 8:32. God wants to give us ALL things. What exactly does this mean? What gifts has He given YOU? Share with the group.

5.Read Romans 6:23, Psalm 9:1, & Hebrews 13:16. What can you do to show your gratitude for all that the Lord has given us? Discuss some practical ways to daily show Him you are grateful.
