I have received Christ as my Lord and Savior, and I have been baptized (or plan to do so at the earliest opportunity), and being in agreement with Christ Church’s statements, strategy and structure, I now feel led by the Holy Spirit to unite with the Christ Church family. In doing so, I commit myself to God and other members to do the following:
I. SUPPORT THE MISSION OF THE CHURCH
I commit to support the mission of Christ Church, which is to reach and lead people to become fully devoted followers of Christ, through inviting others to join us, welcoming newcomers into the church, and praying for the growth of the body.
I will also lead others to grow as disciples, to the point that I am able to lead, and to connect them to others that can help them grow as well.
I will also financially support the mission of the church through faithful and obedient tithing.
II. PRAY FOR THE CHURCH
Prayer is essential to the church, and I commit to pray not only for the church as a whole, but also for the individual members of the body.
I will pray for those in need that I encounter throughout the course of life, those in my life group, and those that submit prayer requests each week.
III. SERVE THE MINISTRY OF THE CHURCH
We are all given natural and spiritual gifts for the good of the church. As part of the church family, it is essential for each member to do their part in serving the body.
Therefore, I commit to use my time and talents by serving as part of the Kingdom Team. As part of the Kingdom Team, I will commit to serving with the values of choosing joy and pursuing excellence in all I do.
IV. COMMIT TO SPIRITUAL GROWTH
We are a church that believes in taking next steps in our faith journey. Therefore, I commit to growing in my faith through consistent attendance and taking next steps each week as I am led by the pastor.
Additionally, I will uphold a biblical worldview in every area of my life, regardless of the changes in culture. This will include areas such as but not limited to: the sanctity of life, a biblical view of marriage, the truth of identity and gender, and the authority and reliability of scripture.
Finally, with the power of the Holy Spirit, I will continually focus on living a godly life that leads me to be formed into the image of Christ.
V. PROTECT THE UNITY OF THE CHURCH
We can only grow as a church when there is spiritual health and unity within the body as a whole. Therefore, I commit to act in love toward the other members of the church and to support them with my time and talents in a loving and Christlike manner.
I refuse to be a partner in divisive acts such as gossip, unforgiveness, or self-centeredness.
I also commit to following the leaders of the church, including the pastors of the church, the board of elders, and the board of deacons, as they are led by the Holy Spirit.
