SERMON DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
1.Read Isaiah 61:1-3. God wants to rescues what has been stolen…restores what has been broken….rebuild what has been torn down…. And redeem for His glory what has been defiled. Discuss some things in your personal life that need rescuing, restoration, rebuilding, and/or redemption.
2.Read Psalms 46:10. Why do we have such a hard time standing still? Discuss
3.Read Philippians 2:12-13. God has given us the power to do the things He wants us to do, according to this scripture. What exactly does that mean in our everyday lives? What areas do you need that power in? Discuss.
4.Read Romans 8:15-17a, Ephesians 2:10, & 1 Corinthians 3:5-9a. God wants to teach us, give us identity and purpose, and expand His Kingdom. Name some ways that you can live out His purpose. What are areas that you are currently struggling in? How can you get on track with His plan for your life so that all of these areas can be met?
5.Read Luke 10:2 & John 15:8-11. This passage tells us to “remain in His love.” What exactly does that mean and how can we accomplish this? How do you walk outside of the boundaries of His love? Pray as a group for the Lord to help you KNOW GOD, FIND FREEDOM, DISCOVER YOUR PURPOSE, and MAKE A DIFFERENCE and to discover what that means for each member of your group individually.
